Most PA Lovetone snares are bespoke – commissioned to order and priced individually. Choose the wood, the size and the finish; Paul will match you to a blank that has been seasoning for years, and carve it whole. Or skip the wait: a finished drum is sometimes ready and available right now.
How it works
Pick a tonewood – Marri, Jarrah, River Red Gum, Lemon Scented Gum or Tuart – then a size from 13″ × 5.5″ up to the monster 14″ × 8″, in gloss or satin. Not sure? Tell Paul the sound in your head and he’ll suggest the tree.
Send your requirements through the live contact form or email info@palovetone.com.au – you’ll get an individual price and current lead-in times. Recent commissions have ranged from A$2,200 to A$2,750.
Your shell is hollowed from a single seasoned log, fitted, tuned and serial-numbered – its tree’s story on record, down to the GPS coordinates of where it grew.
